Serving God with our Gifts

Our mission is to serve God by encouraging women of all ages to discover, develop and use their God given gifts. At GCM Community, we seek to equip our women to enrich the lives of other women and families through the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Our women’s ministry is centred on the Word of God. The focus scripture for the women’s ministry is taken from the book of Ruth Chapter 1:16. This Bible book teaches us about humility to serve and that good service yields over flowing blessings as faith without works is dead (James 2:17).

Supporting Women

Women fill so many different roles during their lives – daughter, sister, wife, mother, best friend, new Christian, growing Christian, and caregiver to name but a few. The way women live out these roles at home, work, and church are as varied as we women are. Yet commonalities unite and bind us women together as we go through various stages in life.

Thus, women’s ministry is a place where women may find real friendships, relevant support, and consistent encouragement from other women at the same stage of life or through role models via our youth mentorship programme.

Sisterhood

We encourage sisterly love by coming together for social events such as:

  • Women’s breakfasts

  • Group prayer walks

  • Women’s brunches

  • Picnics in the park

  • Reading club discussions

Annual Women’s Service

Each year we hold a special conference over a weekend to reach out to women who have not yet understood their creation role within the kingdom of God and to revive the hearts of those who have started to cool in their passion for Christ.
